and then there was an update.

Sorry for the silence, nothing too exciting has happened around here, which means I can't think of anything to blog about.

We are still waiting to hear about the job in Frederick, which is just a little frustrating. We are taking the no news as good news though, because they tend to send out "you're not qualified emails" rather quickly. In the meantime though I have taken to browsing apartment complexes online and have found one that would be just about perfect for us. It is literally less than 10 minutes from the important places, like the job, the school I would like Jack to attend and the local grocery co-op. I am really excited about the co-op.
Speaking of the school, it is a public Montessori charter school and it is everything I could want in a school for Jack. I put in an application to enter Jack into the lottery, and now we just have to wait and see. The deadline is March 01st, which is why I went ahead and applied before having a confirmation on the job. The lottery is drawn on the 19th and you are required to show county residency by July 01st, so it has the potential to all work out.

It has always kind of amazed me how right my 'instincts' can be regarding where I am heading in my life. Take living in Texas as an example, before moving there, I really couldn't see us living there. There were upsides, but it literally took me a month to come to terms with moving there, and even after living there, I just couldn't seem to make a solid plan in my mind. I could however see us living close to DC and enjoying all DC has to offer. I remember telling my best friend how perfect it would be for us. and now, it seems things are falling in place to actually live pretty close to DC. I really hope it does work out, and I could use all the positive vibes and thoughts you have to offer on both the job and the school, and a place to live. :D
